A Christmas Carol

Back by popular demand! Five actors bring Dickens’ classic characters to life in this streamlined, highly theatrical retelling of Scrooge’s redemption from miserly curmudgeon to a generous member of society. Students love the quick pace, ghostly magic, and playful language of this interactive holiday treat. Create warm memories for students that will last for years to come!

Yours, Anne

Libretto by Enid Futterman
Music by Michael Cohen

Grades 6-12

This beautiful and deeply powerful musical adaptation of Diary of a Young Girl, by Anne Frank, has been produced around the world to critical acclaim. Blessed by Anne’s own father, Otto Frank, the gripping story of Anne and her family hiding in an Annex during the Holocaust of WWII is spun with etherial, haunting music and the now famous prose that is as relevant today as it was when it was written. A perfect compliment to your school’s Social Studies or ELA curriculum!

Student matinee dates:
Thursday, March 30 at 10am
 Friday, March 31 at 10am
Tuesday, April 4 at 10am

Main Stage Connection

HMT teaching artists bring theatre workshops into the classroom for several weeks with the foundation of one of our professional Main Stage productions as the focal point. Students explore themes, characters, language, style, and historical / societal context of the show through creative drama activities and writing prompts. The grand finale of the series is a trip to the beautiful Marriott Pavilion on the campus of the Culinary Institute of America to attend the professional HMT production that they have studied. A complete educative experience that is sure to leave a lasting impression on students and teachers for years to come.
